Hello, my name is Nikki Dalla Costa. I was born and raised in the south suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. I was born into a family of educators who instilled in me the love of learning. I moved to Cape Coral, Florida in 2004 with my husband Mike and our two daughters, Olivia and Jessica.
Mike and I are proud grandparents to a beautiful granddaughter, Leyla. She just recently turned five years old July 7th. We also have a grandson, Adonys who will be turning one year three in late October. In addition, we also have a 9month old grandson, Brock. I also have a fur baby, a seventeen year old Cockapoo named Benny Bosco.
After many years of working with children, I decided to follow in the footsteps of my family. In 2009, I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree with specialization in Behavioral Sciences from Barry University, and graduated with high honors (Magna Cum Laude). I also completed all coursework in the area of Elementary Education K-5.
I am also Certified to teach Exceptional Student Education K-12. I taught Social Communications for grades Kindergarten through Sixth grade at Veterans Park Academy For the Arts, where I taught children with moderate to severe Autism. I also taught Kindergarten at Ray V. Pottorf Elementary School before joining the Diplomat Elementary School Family.
I enjoy any and all outdoor activities, which include camping, fishing, boating, canoeing, and I love to take nature photographs with my family while exploring the beauty of SW Florida.
