In math we are learning FRACTIONS. So far, the students seem to be picking it up well. In Language Arts we are working on giving great effort to our reading passages. Many students skim quickly and guess when they make answer choices. Showing accountability for their work is an important part of preparing for middle school.
Please keep encouraging your children to read, read, read! The more a child reads for enjoyment the better reader AND writer they will become. The more exposure children get to reading material the better they will overcome reversals and reading difficulties.
Some weeks we will work on spelling words, and other weeks we will be focusing on building words and creating words from word parts in centers in class.
