State testing is April 27, 28th (Reading), April 29 (Writing), and May 4, 5th (Math). Please make sure your children get a good night of sleep each night and a good, healthy breakfast so they can do their best on this challenging test.
The Spring music concert is April 29th at 7:00 p.m. (Students should arrive by 6:45 p.m.) There is a 1:00 p.m. dress rehearsal for parents and grandparents to attend as well.
Please keep encouraging your children to read, read, read! The more a child reads for enjoyment the better reader AND writer they will become. The more exposure children get to reading material the better they will overcome reversals and reading difficulties.
Some weeks we will work on spelling words, and other weeks we will be focusing on building words and creating words from word parts in centers in class.
