What to expect
Science
A wide range of topics are covered in 6th grade Science. These topics include: The Earth’s Structure, Cells & Heredity, and Astronomy & Space. Each topic is covered in an individual book. While studying these topics, you can look forward to classroom/science lab demonstrations and experiments.
Social Studies
Get ready to venture back to ancient times, as you learn about how the first civilizations paved the way for modern society. In 6th grade, you will study the development of government, religion, economy, art & culture, and education in places like Egypt, Mesopotamia, India, China, Greece, and Italy.
Homework
Homework is assigned weekly. Students are required to use the agenda book to log assignments and upcoming tests/quizzes. Homework is due the next day unless otherwise noted by the teacher. Please check the school website if you are unsure of the assignment or contact me at any time.
Late Assignments
All work is due on the assigned day. However, there may be a time this isn’t possible. With a valid reason, I will accept work a day late with parent note or signature. If the reason is not valid, the assignment will be accepted for partial credit when turned in.
