  • Homework will be assigned just about every night.
  • Answer keys to the homework assignments are available on Google Classroom under the Classwork tab. You should be checking your homework from home after you have completed it. Come to class the next day with questions on the problems you got incorrect if you can't figure out why it's incorrect.
  • Student homework will be displayed on a Homework Board in the classroom, along with being posted on Google Classroom. You should also establish a Homework Buddy from within the class. This is someone you can contact if you have a question about what the homework is or where to find it.
  • Every class you are to come prepared with: pencil, eraser, pen, math binder, & Chromebook
  • Homework is your opportunity to practice what we learned in class. Problems that you struggle with should be attempted and questions asked the next day in class. Learning can be achieved through trial and error. Learning is not achieved through not doing.
  • There is NO Extra Credit. Please do not ask. You should not be looking to Extra Credit as a way to improve upon a grade. Your grade is reflective of the work and effort that you put into your work on a daily basis. If you are not happy with that grade and want to improve upon it you need to consider how much work and studying you are putting into the class. Make sure you are taking notes, completing classwork assignments with understanding, asking questions when you are unsure, showing all your work, practicing problems, and studying when a quiz or test is coming up. You are given many tools in class to help you succeed; it's up to you to use those tools to the fullest potential possible. I always tell my students, "I don't give grades, you earn them." You have the potential to do anything you want, strive to work hard, and you will reach those goals you have set for yourself.
  • If you are absent, it is your responsibility to find out what you missed. Handouts and homework from the day you were absent are placed in your Period folder in the "While You Were Out" organizer in class. This is located at the front of the room.
  •  Establish a free Khan Academy account for practice and review. If you already have one from 5th grade, you can continue to use this same account.
