Before your child starts...
Everything you need to know about Mrs. Friedman's pre-k class:
What to bring to school:
- A backpack (large enough for large Pre-K projects, but not too big to weigh little ones down) We will be providing a folder within the first few days of school. :-)
- A complete change of clothes (including socks)
- Diapers and wipes (if needed)
- A daily snack
- Lunch (or you may purchase from the cafe for lunch)
****Please remember to label all items. Things get confused easily.***
- Oh, and don’t forget the smiles!

Comfort:
The clothes preschoolers wear should be simple, clean, sturdy, and easy to pull off and on. We will be very active during our days, so clothes should allow for this. Also, we will go outside whenever possible, so children should wear weather appropriate items as well as sneakers for safety, especially on gym days. We will try to keep your child as clean as possible, but in our play, we sometimes get a little messy, so please dress your child in play clothing. Please remember to label any items that might get separated from your child, such as scarves, hats, and mittens.
Communication:
Communication is also a key part of staying involved. When you have a question or feel there is information that is important for us to know, such as an oncoming cold, or sleepless night, please write us a note in your child’s folder or send us an email. We will also communicate any important notices through your child’s folder or email.
You can also simply email or write to let us know to “handle with care”...no explanation needed. This lets us know that your child may not be feeling their best and need a little extra attention and care.
