Many times parents ask what else their child can do at home for extra practice. The following are very important skills your child can work on at home.
Reading- Your child can practice reading to you or you can read to your child. Please ask your child questions about the story that was read. Your child should work on telling you about the characters, setting, and beginning, middle and end of the story.
Writing- Your child can practice writing sentences about the book that was read or your child can write about any other topic of interest.
Math- Your child can practice addition facts. He/She will be timed on addition facts throughout the year so the more practice at home, the better!
