Fancy Writing – write your words in fancy ways or decorate your words. 

Draw your words – write each of your words and then draw a picture to show what the word means.   

Colorful Words – use two different colored pencils/pens to write your spelling words.  Use one color to write the consonants and the other color for the vowels.  

Bubble Words – write your spelling words using bubble letters.  

Practice Test – Take a practice test (this is especially good on Thursday night before the real test!)

Rhyming – write your words and then write a rhyming word for each word.   

Write your spelling words in alphabetical order.

 Write a story - use your spelling words in a silly story

Forward/Backward – children will write their words forward and then backwards.
