Students will work on a powerpoint slideshow or a movie using the pictures we have taken for the yearbook as a tribute to the senior class.

Students will design a “theme” for next year’s book. We will work on carrying that theme throughout the book.

Activity #4
Students will make a memory journal idea for the senior class.
Activity #5
Students are writing letters to those who are in the yearbook and have not put a deposit in the book.
Activity #6
Students are going to raffle off a yearbook and sell tickets at lunches. We should more than raise enough to cover the cost of the book we will award as a prize and it will be great advertising for the book.

Photoshop

Students learn tips and tricks on how to make photographs attractive.

Students work on lightening, cropping, removing red eye, and using various filters while editing photo's.

We will plan a field trip to the beach so students can take their own photos for their projects.

Students make memory books at www.ourhubbub.com.

Jostens site that allows students to upload pictures and create their own individual memory books.

Students have the option of ordering these books at very reasonable prices.

These are a nice, personal "souvenir" of students' high school memories.

We send thank-you notes to our businesses/staff who hekped us with the yearbook.

Students address the parts/purpose of a business thank-you note.

Students learn to address an envelope properly.
Activity #10
We are seniors music video! Students put together a video of all of the seniors.

Activity #11
Students create a commercial script for a 1-2 minute spot to air on a local radio station to promote Pleasantville High School.

Students work together to come up with an idea, and present the idea to the class.

Students score each presentation 1-10 on creativity
Activity #12
Students will create a handbook of sorts for the next person in line for their position in yearbook. Explain what it is they do and how they benefit the yearbook team.

Include any pitfalls that they encountered and would have liked to known themselves before it happened.

Any other tips, hints suggestions students have.

Things students thought about and didn’t do, and why.

New things students tried that worked, or didn’t.

Any processes students used or helped create or make production more streamlined (like getting photos off cameras, organizing, storing, archiving in event storage is lost)

Students put together a '14 display case for next year.

Activity #14
Make a senior video will be a take-off of ABC’s "I caught your 3 Words"

Our yearbook staff has divided up the senior homerooms and they are responsible for contacting and securing “My 3 Words” from each senior.

They have deadlines and are graded on a rubric in terms of the amount of people who have participated in their assigned homeroom.

At the same time, they are trying to sell yearbooks and build excitement.
