Grades will be calculated using the following percentages:
Summative: 70%
Formative: 30%
- Summative assignments evaluate student learning after multiple lessons. Examples of summative assignments are quizzes, tests, and projects.
- Formative assessments evaluate student comprehension, learning needs, and academic progress during a lesson. Examples of formative assessments are MathXLs, IXLs, and practice graded for correctness. Formative assessments may be turned in late but a 10% penalty will be deducted for each day it is late. Classwork is also part of this category. It consists of participation, warm-ups, reflections, and practice graded for completion. Classwork will not be accepted late.
