Game Schedule is available at the following web address:

Goals:

On the middle school level, we work toward developing the skills needed to be a successful competitor on a high school team.  By working closely with the high school coaching staff, we have developed a program to prepare Bristol's future high school hockey players.  We will focus on developing skills and, therefore,  will do the best we can to give game-time experience to all players.

Attendance:

In order to get better at the game, attendance at every practice is essential.  Players that come to practice everyday and work hard will be given the most playing time.  We ask that parents encourage players to practice hard and maintain a positive attitude.  Players must present a parent or teacher note if they are going to be late or absent from practice.

Practice Schedule:

On non-game days, we will practice from 3:15-4:30.  Practice will be five days a week Mon-Fri unless otherwise noted by the coach.

**Practices are closed!** Although we love the support of our parents at our games, the presence of family members at practice can be distracting to our team.  We ask that parents help us by making arrangements for younger siblings during these times.

Behavior and Grades

As in all school sports,  individual players must maintain passing grades and conduct themselves in accordance with school rules.  Players must follow the coach's direction at all times for the safety and well-being of the entire team.  Behavior incidents at practice or in school could result in a player's removal from the team.  Players must remain eligible and be passing all classes to be given playing time.

Away Games:

All players must ride the bus TO and FROM away games, unless the coach is notified PRIOR to the day of that game.

Equipment:

For our team, each player will need to  have the following items:
-Stick
-Shin guards
-Kleats
-A mouth guard
-Protective eyewear

Equipment can be signed out for use from the school.  The only items each player must supply on her own are kleats and protective eyewear (which can be purchased through school).  If your child plans on playing field hockey in the future,  purchasing her own equipment will allow her to practice in the off-season.

I look forward to having a great season!
