Classwork/Participation
Students will receive 2 points every day for coming prepared, on time, and being an active participant in class. Points will be deducted for coming to class unprepared, frequently arriving late, frequently calling out, disruptive behavior, not completing work in a timely manner, etc.
Assignments
All assignments are expected to be completed on time. If a student misses class for any reason, it is their responsibility to find out what work was missed. This information can be obtained from the teacher, online, a classmate, etc. Any graded assignment will drop 1 letter grade for every school day the assignment is late.
Student grade will be based on:
- Tests and Quizzes (35%)
- Graded Assignments: Written Responses, Projects, Current Events, Enrichment, etc. (35%)
- Homework/Classwork/Participation (30%)
Homework Policy
Every homework assignment is worth 2 points. Any homework not completed will result in a zero. Students can turn in the assignment late in order to get 1 point. Any homework completed on time, but not done in full, will result in a loss of a point.
Parents/guardians will be contacted if a student frequently does not complete their homework. That student may also be assigned to the opportunity room to complete any missing assignments.
