😁 Hi Future 4th Graders and Families!

 

Can you believe it’s already 4th grade?! Time flies, but don’t worry-your last year at JFK is going to be AMAZING. Get ready for lots of learning, spending time with friends (old and new!), and making awesome memories!

In 4th grade, we’re all about TEAMWORK! Every week, we’ll choose a team MVP-someone who works hard, helps others, and sets a great example. The MVP gets to make fun choices for our class, earn cool rewards, help run our morning meetings, and more!

We’ll also do some super fun projects in Math, learn about saving and spending money in Social Studies, try out exciting STEAM activities in Science, read awesome books with friends in Reading, and write some of your best stories ever in Writing!

That’s just the beginning! There’s so much more fun and learning ahead, and I’ll share all the details when we meet in Room C-1.  But remember-while we’re having fun this year, you’ll also have some important responsibilities. It's your job to be a great role model and always try your best. I know you can do it, and I can’t wait to see you on the first day of 4th grade!

Parents!!! 

Some things for your child to bring with them on the first day of school: 

 

-2 folders  

-a soft or hard pencil case

-A summer picture to share and display in our room. (you can email this to me as well)

-Headphones/Earbuds that are clearly labeled or in a labeled bag 

-A royal blue t-shirt, your child's size (turn an old one inside out, or buy new) We will be painting on these

 

Don't forget a healthy snack, water bottle and lunch!
