Discipline Plan for Ms. Wright’s Class
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Thank you in advance for the support and help you give your child every day. Below is the 5th Grade Discipline Plan for the current school year. The administrators and PBIS System at ECW support this Discipline Plan, Consequences, and Rewards.
Classroom Rules
- Have all appropriate materials and are seated quietly when class begins.
- Respect ourselves, others, and our school environment.
- Adjust and maintain the voice level suited to the activity.
“0” – quiet mouths (ex. During instruction, independent work, transitions, hallways, walking in line, bathroom, or when asked by an adult)
”1” – whisper (ex. During Turn and Talk, hallways before the bell rings, or when asked by an adult)
“2” – low voices (ex. During group work, projects, or when asked by an adult)
“3” – classroom voices (ex. When responding to an adult, class discussions)
“4” – outdoor voices (ex. Brain break outside)
- Follow directions the first time they are given.
- Observe all rules in the student handbook.
If You Choose to Break a Rule
First Time: Verbal Warning (depending upon the severity of the behavior)
Second Time: Mark on Behavior Board/ Consequence
Third Time: Mark on Behavior Board/ Further Consequence. Minor Infraction.
Severe Disruption/Violation: Major Infraction/ Office Referral
Rewards for Following the Rules
Praise (daily)
Cub Cash (daily)
Positive notes home (random)
Whole class brain break (random)
Various rewards (throughout the school year)
The joy of learning (each day of the school year)
