8:45-10:30 McDonnell's Reading & Social Studies

10:30-11:00 Eva's Reading & Social Studies

11:00-11:20 Recess

11:20-12:45 Eva's Reading & Social Studies

12:45-1:10 Lunch

1:20-2:00 Read 180, System 44, IReady, and Skill Cards

 

  

In reading I strive to increase the reading capabilities of all students through school-wide reading programs, literacy materials and resources, and ongoing collaboration with classroom teachers, parents and administrators.  No subject is as important as reading. Students will use their reading skills whether they're in science, social studies or math class.

 

Homework: 

Read and initial the planner each night

Read AR book each night for 20 minutes

Practice the Weekly Fluency given each Monday

Math Worksheet given daily

Science and Social completed during school.

CLASSROOM BEHAVIOR PLAN
Welcome to 5th grade. I am looking forward to working with you and your child this year. Together we can help your child achieve success with an enjoyable and productive year.  In order to provide my students with the excellent educational climate they deserve, I will be using the following Behavior Plan. It follows the principles of our school-wide Positive Behavior Support plan. Every child has the right to learn and I will help all of my children achieve that goal in a safe and caring environment.  Any problems will be noted in the planner. Please be sure to check and initial your child’s planner every evening. Feel free to contact me with any concerns or questions.

Yellow = A Very Good Day! 

Orange = Great Day!!

Red = Outstanding Day!    

 

Blue=1st warning - Reminder of classroom expectations

 

Purple= 2 warnings, student/teacher conference

Pink= Time out/ automatic loss of privilege (Phone call home)
