Arrival Information:

 Students in grades 1-8 may enter the building through two entrances: Pond and Mulberry Sts. entrance and the gym entrance in back of school.

 Kindergarten students will enter through the kindergarten entrance located in the Early Learning Center (gated area).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Morning Drop Off

Please adhere to the following to ensure student and staff safety at all times:

 All traffic MUST enter the school property from the Buckley Street entrance ONLY. You will proceed around the perimeter of parking lot. Once you have reached the sidewalk adjacent to the building, students will unload at that point and walk down the sidewalk into the gym entrance. We will unload approximately 8 cars at a time so please make sure your child is ready to keep the flow of traffic moving. In addition, I ask that anyone in this car line to please refrain from using your cell phone and pay close attention to staff and students crossing the driveway. Please remember to yield to all students and staff at all times.

 

 Please remember that you may park at the Grundy rink and walk your child to the gym entrance as well. Please utilize the crosswalks.

 Only buses may enter school property from Beaver Street.

 

Afternoon Pick Up

Students will be dismissed through several locations depending on their grade levels. This will enable you to locate your child quickly. If you have several children in various grade levels, I recommend you wait for the youngest and ask the older children to meet you at the exit of the youngest child. Please utilize parking spots in the two back lots in the afternoon. No one should park along the curb as this causes an unsafe environment for our students.

 

First Grade Dismissal: 2:40PM

All first grade classes will dismiss  through the door located closest to the circle driveway in rear of school. Teachers will bring their classes out and line up. Teachers will dismiss each student to their parent/caretaker.

 

 

All students MUST use crosswalks when crossing streets.

 

 Students MUST exit school property immediately following dismissal unless they need to pick up a sibling. However, friends will not be permitted to hang out when siblings are waiting for one another.

 

 Finally, the playground is closed in the PM. All students must report directly home following dismissal. Only students who are accompanied by their parents etc., will be permitted to use the playground at dismissal. Remember, the playground is for students 12 years and under.

 

*If you prefer that your child in any grade from 2-5 dismiss from the Pond/Walnut Sts. exit, you must submit a written request to your child’s teacher.
