Dear Students and Parents,

          It may be summer but the fourth-grade teachers are planning for the upcoming school year. We are preparing our classrooms and getting ready to meet our new group of fourth-graders.  Fourth grade is a year of adventures and challenges. You are going to learn more than you can imagine. Best of all, you are going to meet a lot of great friends.

          You are probably wondering what you need for school. We have compiled a list of necessary supplies that are listed below. Please bring them on the first day of school. Along with your new school supplies, you’ll need a snack to enjoy each day between breakfast and lunch. Water is the only permitted beverage during snack time. 

          We are looking forward to seeing you. It’s going to be a great school year. Enjoy the rest of your summer vacation.

Supply List for Mrs. Gutman and Mrs. Cappello's Fourth Grade Classes

 

(Please follow this list. It covers everything you need for this class and your switch  class.) 

Please label every item with your child's name

 

  • 2 chapter books at your independent reading level (chapter books that you can read and enjoy)

  • Inexpensive earbuds/headphones: they must be able to fit in your computer case! label with your first and last name) 

  • Folders:

    • 1  plastic homework folder (any color) with prongs/fasteners to be used for all homework and notes (label with your first and last name) 

  • 1 spiral single subject notebook (label it with your first and last name)

  • 1 three-ring binder: one-inch-please, clearview, nothing oversized or fancy! 1 1/2 inches maximum! (label with your first and last name)

  • 1 package 5 tab dividers (please place these in your binder - save the labels for the tabs

  • Soft, zippered pencil pouch (no pencil boxes) - The following items can be put right into your pencil pouch.

    • 3 glue sticks (may need to be replenished during the year)

    • scissors
    • 1 multi colored pen or I can give you some pens to use
    • 4 dry erase markers and a small dry erase eraser
    • 2 highlights in two different colors 
  • 4 dozen #2 pencils- you will hand these to the teacher to be used throughout the year by the class

 

Classroom wish list (optional supplies that will be collected and used throughout the year) 

  • 2 boxes of tissues

  • 2 packages of wipes 
  • 1 box of zipper sandwich baggies 
  • Individually wrapped saltine crackers
