Genesis: It is extremely important that you check your child’s progress on a regular basis.
Lockers: (Grades 6-8) Lockers should be organized to enable the student to find needed materials quickly. They need to be locked at all times. Cell phones should be turned off and stored in lockers.
Absences: Students will be picking 2 homework buddies in his/her math class. They can either phone or email this buddy in the event that they are absent and might need clarification for an assignment or class work. Homework will be posted on my website at the end of each school day. However, it is the responsibility of the student to get his/her assignments when they are given out in class. |
Homework Policy: Homework is given daily from Monday through Friday. Students will be notified well in advance before a quiz or test. Every student starts a marking period with a 100 for homework. Each missing homework assignment will result in a 5-point deduction from the homework grade. Homework is graded on completion. We will go over every homework assignment in class and address any questions.
Behavior/Expectations: Students are expected to come to class prepared, on time and always ready to work every day. Students should always do their Math work in pencil. Pens are to be used for correcting only. Students are expected to be respectful to each other, school property and the teacher. Any violations to the Student Handbook will result in a demerit.

Grading: The grading for Math is as follows: Tests 45% Quizzes 30% Homework 25%%
