Here are a few reminders:

 

• Students should be in the classroom by 7:45AM

 

    Please send in the following items the first week of school:

•    Photo for our “Jesus Loves Me” board
•    Art Smock (labeled with name)
•    Change of clothes labeled in a gallon size ziploc bag (play clothes are fine - cross    seasonal clothes work best - please include a change of socks as well)
•    Box of tissues
•    Disinfecting wipes/hand wipes/hand sanitizer are appreciated anytime throughout the year

 

 

• Lunch/Recess is from 12-12:40PM on regular school days. If you would like to order lunch for your child, please do so on the school website. We are a cashless cafeteria. We have snack every morning in our classroom. Please pack a healthy snack and water and pack it separately from their lunch. We are a peanut/nut free classroom, so please do not send in any food containing these allergens. If any student has an allergy or health concern, please let us know.

 

 

• Kindergarten has Show and Tell every Friday unless noted. All specials are posted on the website. Each trimester we will post any schedule changes on our website.

 

 

• Students are to wear their gym uniform and sneakers to school on the day we have gym. Velcro sneakers work well!

 

 

• Birthdays: In accordance with Saint Leo’s allergy policy, we do not allow outside snacks to be brought in from home. The birthday child may dress down for their birthday and are excused from homework that night. If you are sending in birthday invitations to hand out at school, the whole class must have an invitation.

 

 

• Holiday celebrations: If you are sending in a goody bag for any reason, it must not contain any food or candy.

 

 

• Please check folders daily and return them to school the following day. Make sure papers are taken out before returning to school. All students should have a regular sized backpack for school. Please do not send in a small backpack since students are unable to fit their folder in easily as well as any books/materials that may be sent home.

 

 

• Please check our school website daily. The administration often posts important notices on the home page. Also, be sure to check our class website each day for news and homework. Homework for kindergarten is Monday through Thursday.

 

 

• Transportation from school: If your child is taking the bus home, please write the bus number on the inside of your child’s folder. If your child is a car rider, please write “car rider” on the inside of the folder. Parents must notify the teacher in writing of any changes in dismissal (including if someone else will be picking up your child). If there is a last-minute change, please call the office. Do not rely on email. When sending in notes to school, please do not put them on a post-it (they easily get lost) and all notes must have a date.

 

• Please allow us 24 hours to respond to any email.
