While we dont have traditional "homework" in RtI, we just ask that you....

 

Read, Read, Read! 

Your child will be bring home books in a small bag each night.  These books are familiar reads that we have read at least one time together.  Listen to your child read aloud.  Encourage them to make their reading "sound like talking". Then talk about the book together.  

 

Some conversation starters after reading together:

* What did you notice about the story?

* Does this book remind you of anything?

* What have you been wondering as you read?

* Does this book make you think of anything else you’ve read?

* What was your favorite part?

* Were there any parts that surprised you?

* What are you going to read next?
