Hello Parents and Students,
We have a year of fun and learning ahead of us. Since we have such a busy schedule, we created a special tab on our website titled "6th Grade News" to keep you informed of all 6th grade events, daily homework, academic deadlines, and general information. This site is updated daily with homework assignments and current news and events.
We have many fun activities planned for the 6th grade students. In order to attend these activities students must have all classwork and homework assignments complete, on target for reading, and demonstrate good behavior. In September students were given the 6th grade Behavior Contract, as a reference to ensure good choices. The 6th Grade Team also created a positive behavior plan titled "Fun Friday" and reviewed it with the students. We are anticipating a great year. We encourage both parents and students to use the "Parent Portal" to view academic achievements.
This is my seventh year as a 6th grade In-Class Support teacher, and I truly love everyday. I have the opportunity to assist your children in all subject areas. I have also been a 4th and 5th grade teacher in the LEHSD, and my past experiences are so valuable to your children. I have completed a two year eMINTS cohort. eMINTS is a professional development program that educates teachers in how to integrate technology into student center constructivist lessons.
