Positive Behavior Support (PBIS)

In compliance with the Juvenile Justice Reform Act of 2003 and the No Child Left Behind Act, and in conjunction with the Levi Milton Elementary Vision Statement, ALL personnel will be implementing the School Wide Positive Behavior Support Plan (PBIS).

PBIS is a way to recognize and reinforce appropriate behaviors in a positive manner.

At Levi Milton Elementary School, we ROAR.  The expectations are:

Respect our school

Observe the rules

Act responsibly

Ready to learn

Make sure to ask your child about Kitty Bucks!!!  Kitty Bucks can be traded for various items on the last Thursday of each month.  If a student chooses a certificate for a free dress item, the item is to be worn the next day (Friday).

Remember

If a child doesn’t know how to read, we teach.

If a child doesn’t know how to swim, we teach.

If a child doesn’t know how to multiply, we teach.

If a child doesn’t know how to drive, we teach.

If a child doesn’t know how to behave, we . . .

If a student fails to comply with behavior expectations, the student will be given a behavior mark. The chart below shows the codes for the behavior marks, along with the consequences received for the marks. The letter shows the type of misbehavior and the number shows the location in which the behavior occurred.
