Welcome to First Grade!
You are very lucky this year because you have 2 first grade teachers, Mrs. Arlene Janusz and Mrs. Stacy DiMeo! HOORAY! 😊 We feel so very honored to be your teachers during this school year. We just know we are going to love you all (and you will love us, too!
About Me - Mrs. Janusz
This will be my 26th year teaching. I taught a mixture of kindergarten and first grade. This is my first year as a co- teacher and I am really excited. I live in Warren County. I have a husband, two sons, Robert (17) and Ryan (12). We have a dog named Ruger and a cat named Chester. You will hear lots of stories about them. My family loves to camp at Otter Lake in PA. Our camper stays there all year long. I love to be outside, work in my gardens and watch my boys play basketball. I love teaching first grade because it is so fun to watch you all learn every day. We are going to have a fantastic year!
About Me - Mrs. DiMeo
This will be my 25th year teaching. I started out teaching first grade for 12 years and am now teaching special education as a co-teacher in first grade. I have 2 sons. My boys are both in High School. My family has a cute puppy named Maple! Maple keeps us very busy! Some of my favorite things are reading, swimming, taking walks with our dog, and going to the movies with my boys! My favorite thing about first grade is how much you will learn and grow. I cannot wait for us to have so much fun together this year!
Meet the Teacher
We are so looking forward to meeting you in person at "Meet the Teacher". You can drop by August 28th at 2:20pm to see the classroom and your teachers! Plan to be here for around 10 minutes or so.
When you come, please bring with you all your new school supplies so we can get things organized and ready for the first day of school. Don’t forget to label your child’s belongings (backpack, pencil box, head phones, lunch box, jackets, and water bottle) . Most supplies are shared, so you will not need to label those.
Important Information
We will be using the seesaw phone app to share exciting happenings in our class with you. Please load the seesaw app to your cell phones and a QR code will be provided shortly. Please make sure your Pick Up Patrol settings are accurate. If there are any changes to your child’s dismissal plan, please update Pick Up Patrol before 1:00. Your child will need a healthy daily snack/ water bottle.
