 Math

I am so excited about the 2022/2023 school year!  Together, we will all learn so much.  We will be working from the "Big Ideas" math book.  Always try you best, do all your assignments and ask questions if you are confused.  If you do all of these three things, I promise you will do fine.

As I prepare you for Algebra, it is vital that you always show all of your work.  Any math calculation done "in your head" must always be put on paper.  As you transition into seventh grade mathematics, there is more emphasis on problem solving than simple calculations.  The key to problem solving is organizing your thoughts. Organizing your thoughts starts with showing your work.

A little bit about myself.  Although I have been teaching math for over 20 years, I started my career off doing market research in corporate America.  I like to tell stories of how math is applied in the "real world".  I grew up on the Jersey shore but currently reside in Pennsylvania.  I love the Mets, the football Giants and I am a huge Beatles fan.  I also play the drums for the LVMS faculty rock band.

I can't wait to get started and meet all of my students.
