My Philosophy about Teaching

My philosophy of teaching is similar to a constructivist view on education. I believe that every student can learn based on his or her prior knowledge and that a teacher is an inspiring facilitator rather than a dictator. What is taught in health and physical education is often based on real-life scenarios and no two students come from the same background, thus making it impractical to have a generic lesson on a topic. I believe that using a constructivist model and creating cognitive dissidence is best for all students and will lead them to become lifelong learners.
