The Multi-Tiered Intervention Services at the Long Valley Middle School are programs and strategies that are used to increase the academic achievement of regular education students in literacy and mathematics.  A wide variety of performance data is used to identify students that qualify for these essential academic intervention services.

My name is Ms. DeMercurio.  I am the Instructional Math Support Intervention  teacher at the Long Valley Middle School.  This program provides supplemental instruction within the general education  program. Students receive small group instruction in order to strengthen math skills and develop effective strategies to help them achieve math success.  This supplemental program recognizes individual learning differences and strives to build students' competence and confidence in the world of mathematics.  Our goal is to strengthen basic skills as well as support core math content.

At this time, I am making my rounds, supporting teachers and students in the core math classrooms in grades six through eight.  Based on performance data, if your child is identified as benefiting from individualized instruction in a small group setting, we will contact you with more detailed information.

I look forward to assisting your child on their journey to math success!
