Gr. 5 English Language Arts (ELA) & Social Studies (SS)
- Completed our "Power & Progression" literary analysis task (LAT)
- Began (and continue) our new unit of study - Folklore & Freedom
- Moving through the growth of early America with a focus on perspective, freedom & our Constitution
- Constructed solidly written responses to open-ended questions using the I.R.A.C.E.S. formula
- Continued to work through thoughtful word study with a focus on word morphology
- Moving through some powerful & thought provoking read alouds

Gr. 4 English Language Arts (ELA) & Social Studies (SS)
- Finished reading The Sign of the Beaver by Elizabeth George Speare & enjoyed watching the movie version of this fantastic novel
- Continued to construct solidly written responses to open-ended questions using the I.R.A. & I.R.A.C.S formulas
- Continued to work through thoughtful word study with a focus on word morphology
- Finishing up our character change literary analysis task (LAT) using Sign of the Beaver
- Began (and continue) our brief mythology unit
- Completed our resarch on the life of the Lenni Lenape, contructed some amazing "deerskin" projects & are presenting those projects to our classmates
