Classroom Procedures

• Class Preparation ~ Students should come prepared to class on a daily basis to maximize learning time and minimize interruptions during class.  The teacher will keep a checklist to monitor each student’s level of organization, as class preparation is part of their overall grade.
  
• Homework Policy ~ When given homework assignments, students should complete the assignment for the next school day.  If a student misses a homework, a zero is put into the grade book as an incomplete.  When the assignment is completed the zero is removed.  TAfter 3 missed homeworks, the student will be issued a “Homework Alert” to be signed by a parent and returned along with the assignments on the next school day.
  
• Snack ~ Snack is not required, but the students will have an opportunity to eat snack everyday in the morning.  This is just a little something to hold them over, and we encourage the students to eat healthy snacks.  Please be aware that all snacks should be peanut/nut/legume free nor processed in a facility with these products.
  
• Student Birthday ~ Please know we celebrate each child's birthday in a special way.  Due to children with severe food allergies, food will not be allowed to be given out on your child’s birthday.  However, if you would like to send in pencils, goodie bags, etc. we would be more than happy to have the class share in your child’s special day!
