Extra Help:  Math tutorials are available every period.  Please check tutorial schedule to determine room numbers. Morning extra help hours are also available for those unable to attend after school or for whom it is more convenient. I am in 609 at 6:30 most mornings.  Please let me know if you are attending.

 

Objective:  To explore the concepts and ideas of geometry and to discover practical applications.

 

Materials:  Students are responsible for bringing their notebook, pencil, and calculator to class every day.  Texts may be kept at home for reference and homework assignments. **It is highly recommended that students obtain their own calculator.

 

Attendance/Tardiness:   The policies outlined in your student handbook apply to this course and will be followed.

 

Grading:  You will be graded using a point system.  Points will be earned for tests, quizzes, projects, homework, class work, and participation.  The value of each assessment will vary, but will be announced in advance.  You and your parents/guardians will be able to view your grades online using Powerschool.

Notebook:  You will be required to keep a notebook for this course.  It will be checked and weighted as a quiz one time per chapter.  A class notebook will be kept and maintained in the classroom.  It is available for your reference.  Each handout will be numbered to help with organization.
