How can I get in touch with you?
There are many ways to reach me. You can email me at: the REMIND app, christy.thompson@millville.org , or call the school @ 293-2345. The daily folders are checked every morning so you can write a note and put it in there too.
Do you nap every day?
No, we do not nap in kindergarten. We do relax through breathing exercises and yoga.
What happens if my child has a bathroom accident?
If a child has an accident, he/she will be taken to the nurse’s office for clean-up and fresh clothes. The soiled clothing will be returned to you in a plastic bag with a note asking you to wash and return the loaned items. These situations are handled as discretely as possible. Your child may also need to change clothes following a nose bleed. If you would like to send in a change of clothes for your child, please place it in a bag with your child's name on the outside. We will keep it in thier cubby.
What if I need my child to be picked up by someone other than myself?
Please write a note in the morning. I will not allow a child to leave with anyone different unless I have a written note.
How often do the students have homework?
The students should be reading every night.
What if I need to send in money for lunch, pictures, book fair, etc.?
If you need to send in money, please place it in a sealed envelope or baggie. Write your child's first and last name, D200, and what the money is to be used for.
How do you handle birthday's?
Parents many send in a small birthday treat for their child if they choose to. Try to let me know in advance if you are going to send something in. (You can just send a note in the daily folder.) We will use that as our snack for the day. We do not have birthday parties in school.
Do you go outside when it gets cold?
Yes! Unless it is raining or extremely cold, we go outside everyday. Please make sure that your child has a jacket when it starts to get chilly. Hats, coats, and gloves will be needed for colder weather. Please let me know if your child does not have a coat.
Do you have "show and tell?"
When your child is "helper of the day," (usually about once a month--they know schedule) they may bring in one item that is no larger than can fit in their bookbag. (please nothing of value)
