Reading
This year we are using a new reading series called American Reading Company (ARC)
Our goal in first grade is to read 100 books. This year we will be sending home books to read daily along with some cue cards which contain sight words, phonics and reading strategies to help your child be successfull this year. Please make sure you take care of the books that are sent home and that you send them back daily to get new books. Our books are not just used in our classroom but with the entire first grade level so there are endless books for you and your child to enjoy.
