Ten Day Lesson Plan 

All assignments must be submitted by 10 pm the day it is assigned (unless otherwise noted).  You can email the work to [email protected].  You must use your school email to submit work.  You can visit the Paulsboro webpage to access the link to your email.  Your email address is your school ID number @paulsboroschools.us and your password is what you use to log in the computer.  Anything you complete on Commonlit.org can be submitted directly on the site.

 

*All assignments are available online and in print.  If you do not have acess to a computer, or the internet, please make arrangements to pick up your assignments.  More information will be posted with a location and time to do so.  Please check my website for updates.

 

 

Day 1: Continue working on your I-Search Paper that we started in class.

Objective: Students will be able to express their ideas through writing on the research they did on their chosen topic.

 

Directions for day 1:  Start on Step 4!  If you need to complete steps 1-3, because you did not quite get to step four, you can submit them also. They must be submitted before you move on.

 

Write the beginning paragraph of your I-Search Paper.  Read the sources you have printed out to guide your writing.  You can use information from the work you completed during step 2.

Days 2 and 3: Continue working on your I-Search Paper that we started in class.

Objective: Students will be able to express their ideas through writing on the research they did on their chosen topic.  They will express their feelings and ideas toward their topic in the body of their paper.

 

Directions for days 2 and 3:  On Step 4, please note the middle section of the assignment.  You will follow the directions to complete the body of your paper.  Make sure you talk about the four questions you wrote in Step 2 and talk about the answers that you found in your research.

This is not due until the end of Day 3!

Day 4: Continue working on your I-Search Paper that we started in class.

Objective:  Students will be able to finalize their paper with a conclusion using their research.

 

Directions for Day 4: Summarize your paper and explain what you learned from your research.  Remember, a complete paragraph is 5-7 sentences! Refer to the I-Search Paper link if you have any questions on expectations.

Day 5 and 6: Finish up your I-Search paper!

Objective:  Students will be able to make a cover page for a report using technology.

 

Directions for days 5-6: Make a list of the sources you used for your paper.  Please print them out, or email the link.  I will teach you how to create a bibliography page when we return. 

Complete Step 5 for your I Search Paper.  Create a cover for your report and include the following:

- Your Name

- Title of your I-Search Paper

- Photographs/drawings (at least 3) that illustrate the topic of your paper.

- A short paragraph on the inside cover explaining the significance of the cover pictures.

Day 7: Read "Summer With Papaji"

Objective: Students will explore the theme of love through multiple pieces of literature.  This will lead to Romeo and Juliet upon return.

 

Directions for day 7:  Log in to your account on www.commonlit.org

Go to your assignments and click on "Summer with Papaji"  Make sure you complete all discussion questions and the assessment.  You will be able to submit your responses through the website.

Day 8: Read "I am Offering this Poem."

Objective: Students will explore the theme of love through multiple pieces of literature.  This will lead to Romeo and Juliet upon return.

Go to your assignments and click on "I am Offering this Poem"  Make sure you complete all discussion questions and the assessment.  You will be able to submit your responses through the website.

Days 9 and 10: Read "The Market Square Dog."

Objective: Students will explore the theme of love through multiple pieces of literature.  This will lead to Romeo and Juliet upon return.

Go to your assignments and click on "I am Offering this Poem"  Make sure you complete all discussion questions and the assessment.  You will be able to submit your responses through the website. 

 

This will take two days due to the rigor of the short story.  Please reread the story on the second day to make sure you remember what you read!

This is not due until the end of day 10!

Complete one writing assignment every day for the next two weeks.  You will be creating your own journal while being quarintined.  They are due by April 24.

YOU MUST USE THIS WEEK TO CATCH UP ON ALL MISSED ASSIGNMENTS.  I HAVE ONLY GOTTEN WORK FROM ONE STUDENT.  ANY WORK NOT HANDED IN BY MAY 9th WILL BE SCORED A ZERO.

No one has handed in their I-Search paper, so I would like you to focus on that for the next two weeks. Here are the instructions again.
