My name is Amanda Jackson and I am delighted to be your child's kindergarten teacher. I am looking frorward to getting to know you and your child!

I have been teaching for 23 years. I taught 2nd and 3rd grade at P.B. Ritch Elementary in Paulding County for six years. Then I took a year off after my second son was born. I wanted to stay at home with my two boys. Then, after a year, I decided to go back into the classroom. I taught 2nd grade at Baker Elementary in Cobb County.  Then I came to Shelton.  I taught 1st, 2nd, and Kindergarten at Shelton Elementary. I came to Burnt Hickory in 2015-2016 school year to teach kindergarten.  I am really excited! I really love teaching here! It is such a great place to work!!

I am a graduate of Jacksonville State University in Alabama. I also have my Masters degree in Administation from the same University, and now I have my Specialist from LMU.

My husband, Chris and I really enjoy living in Paulding County. We feel it is a great place to raise our 3 children. We have two boys and a girl. Christopher is 21 and is going to college UGA. Logan is 18 and will be attending KSU in the fall.  Marlee is 15 and is in 10th grade this year at NPHS.  They really keep me happily busy!

I am a huge Alabama fan. Roll Tide!! We love to go to the football games. I also enjoy shopping, watching my kids play sports, going out to eat, going to the lake, and spending time with my family.

Please feel free to contact me about any questions or concerns you may have about your child this year. Thank you in advance for your help and cooperation. Working together we can make this the best school year ever!

Sincerely,

Amanda Jackson
