What is Fundations?

 

Fundations is our phonics program

that makes learning to read FUN

while laying the groundwork

for LIFE-LONG LITERACY!

us learn our Fundations! Whatever

MOMMA ECHO and BABY ECHO

say, we say!! 

 

 

Familiarize Yourself With the Following:

 

 

1.  Alphabet Chant: Your child will learn the letter - keyword - sound for a new set of letters each week.  We do NOT learn our letters in alphabetical order! 

 

2.  Vowel Extension Poster: Your child will stretch out each vowel sound out daily.  We do NOT learn the vowels in order.  

 

3.  Writing Grid: We use special lines in Fundations to help us write neatly!  Your child will be practicing his/her printing this year using the lines above.  

 

4.    CVC Words: C-V-C = Consonant-Vowel-Consonant

These words have 3 letters.  The vowel is always in the MIDDLE!
