Classroom Rules
- Be on time for class.
- Sit in your assigned seat, if not you will be marked absent.
- Bring your book and notebook (class notes are part of the class participation grade).
- Turn in your homework assignment on time.
- Raise your hand and wait to be recognized when you wish to ask or answer a question.
- Not to leave their seats without permission.
- Your behavior must comply with school rules i.e. No Food, drinks, hats, caps, electronic equipment-phone, music, video games allowed in the class.
- Respect teachers and fellow students. Use appropriate language.
- Do not copy your neighbor’s work or allow your neighbor copy from your paper. Copying someone else’s work will result is a zero for that activity for both yourself and the person who knowingly let’s you copy.
- The ringing of the school bell at the end of class is not for you, it is for me. Students must remain seated and wait to be dismissed.
- It is the student’s responsibility to contact the teacher to monitor their progress and make arrangement to complete all work due to absence.
The consequences for not following these guidelines will include detention as well as any other penalty deemed appropriate by the instructor.
Grading Policy
- Tests 50%
- Quizzes 25%
- Homework 15%
- Class Participation / Preparation 10%
Class Participation/Do Now/Class Work may include, but is not limited to, class preparation, notebook, class involvement, etc.
After reviewing these guidelines with your parents or guardians, you are to have them sign this form and immediately return it to your instructor.
