WELCOME TO 3RD GRADE!

 

QUICK TIPS TO HELP YOUR 3RD GRADER BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Sign your child’s planner nightly. Write how your child goes home, please.
  • Read AR nightly for at least 20 minutes.
  • Practice multiplication facts nightly.
  • Be on time to school daily. AR testing and library time happens mostly before 8:00.
  • Send a water bottle with your child’s name on it daily.

 

IMPORTANT TIMES TO REMEMBER:

  • Specials (PE, Art, or Music) are at 9:35-10:20 daily.
  • Lunch is 11:35-12:00.
  • Recess is 11:13-11:33 daily.

 

 

 

Third graders need 125 points to receive a trophy at the end of the year.

AR Parties:

Students must have 100% of their goal with 85% or higher accuracy to attend the parties. 

1st Quarter: Board Games

2nd Quarter: Movie and a Treat

3rd Quarter: Board Games

4th Quarter: Movie and a Treat

 

Math Facts Quiz:

Week of September 5th students will take a basic addition and subtraction quiz. They will be given 3 minutes to answer 50 problems.
