Welcome to Music at J Colin English!

---------------------------

As the school year winds down, I would like to take a moment to thank all the wonderful families of the students for your support of this Music Department.  Have a marvelous, MUSICAL summer!

A quick reminder to all 3rd grade families-3rd grade students will be performing recorder pieces and songs at this week's Science Fair on Thursday, May 4 being ready to play by 6 p.m. If the student owns a recorder they should bring it. School uniform or nice clothes are the dress. We hope to see you there!

This year's All County Honor Choir was amazing!  The students that participated in this event on Thursday, March 9th were Payton T., Valeria P., Alissa H. and Mariangely R.S. Awesome job ladies!  I hope that you had as much fun as I did and learned a lot from the clinician, Ms. Slawson.

---------

There was much progress for the 3rd graders as they embark on learning the recorder during the 3rd quarter!  They have learned the notes C, B, A, and G and have used these notes playing Rockin' Raptor, Hot Cross Buns and Irish Washerwoman. We look forward to playing for family and friends for the Science Fair on Thursday, May 4 at 6 p.m.

Hello everyone! The Holiday Program of Joyous Instruments was a HUGE success!  The Fourth and Fifth Grade classes were so very happy to share what they have been learning in music this first semester.  Thank you to all who attended and who helped the Holiday Program be such a fun evening for students and families alike!

***The Veterans Day Celebration was a great success!  A HUGE thank you goes out to Master Sergeant Gerilico for his wonderful speech to us and to the 2nd grade classes for their wonderful music!

The expectation of the Music Department here at J. Colin English is that everyone comes prepared to try different aspects of music whether it be playing an instrument, singing, movement or a combination of the three! Mrs. Jaskier incorporates all of these things in a music class so there is something for every child to experience!

If you have any questions, feel free to contact Mrs. Jaskier at:
