Children learn to read by reading!

Just as you would take your child to sports practice or dance lessons, reading is a skill that needs to be practiced daily! Even if your child is in 3rd, 4th, or even 5th grade you can still read at home with him/her! Alternate reading pages or paragraphs aloud to each other. Have disccussions about these books together. Borrow books from the library on tape or CD and have your child follow along, too.  View the books on DVD if available, and compare/contrast to the text!

Little Shaq and Barry make a great team both on and off the basketball court, but will their business be as successful as they hoped?
