Welcome Back to the 2017-2018 School Year!

Thank you for visiting the TMS Band website.

Listed below you will find important information.

I have set up this website for my  TMS band students and parents.  Here, you can find the important documents and resources that  we use in our school band program.

Band students and parents will begin receiving newsletters via email, "Greetings from the TMS Band Room."  This newsletter is sent via email and contains important information about upcoming events, homework  assignments, concerts, etc.

Please consider liking our TMS Band page on Facebook.

If you have any questions  or messages for me, you can call the school or email me, (email is the fastest  way to contact me).  I will reply as soon as possible.

And make sure you download the FREE mobile app called Bandmate Chromatic Tuner.  We use it in class, and it will really help your child  practice at home.  It will actually show them what note they are  playing, so they can see for themselves if they are playing the correct note!

Note Trainer:

This is a very useful and easy to use site that shows you how many note identification answers you get right or wrong, and what percentage you get right!  Click on the 'Settings' button to change the clef.  You can also drag the notes up or down to customize the range you're working on.

This is an excellent exercise for percussion students, helping them learn to quickly associate notes on the staff with their visual image on the keyboard.
Level 1 is the only level that is not percussion-specific.
