A note from our student teacher:

Dear Parents & Guardians,

Hello! My name is Kevin Lynch and I am the student teacher who has been working in your child’s CP Biology class since September. I am writing this letter to introduce myself to you as I will be taking on a larger role in the classroom during these upcoming weeks.

I have been working with Mr. DeStefano and your children since the beginning of the school year and have closely observed Mr. DeStefano’s teaching practices during this time. Over the months, I have developed many great relationships with the students. If I haven’t already, I will soon be taking over as the “main teacher,” in your child’s class. Because I am taking this last step towards becoming a teacher, I wanted to reach out to all of you just in case you had any questions.

I am currently completing my last semester at Stockton University. Throughout the last four years I have studied environmental science, childhood studies, and education. All of that time has led me to my final requirement; student teaching. From here, I plan on becoming either a general science teacher at a middle school or a biology teacher at a high school.

I am extremely grateful to have spent the last couple of months with your children. They have made my journey wonderful to this point. It has truly been a pleasure to meet each one of our students and I am excited for what the future holds for them.

Please let me know if you have any questions, concerns, or comments about myself or the Stockton University teacher preparation program by emailing me at I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

Kevin Lynch
