Welcome to CLMS!  You are beginning an exciting endeavor, so I’ve provided some information below to help you on your way.

Assignments:  Students are responsible for recording homework assignments in their planner at the beginning of each week.  On the rare occasion that no homework is assigned, that should be recorded as well.  Parents are asked to check planners daily.

Homework:  Homework will be assigned each class period and is due the next class period.  All assignments must include the problem, ALL work, and circled answer for full credit.  Partial credit will be given for late work.  Students should use notes to help with homework, and they must TRY all problems assigned.  Homework help is available from tutorials via the on-line textbook (accessed through Launchpad by clicking the McGraw Hill ConnectEd link) and from the Khan Academy website.

Make-up work for excused absences:  Students are responsible for completing any work missed during an absence from class. It is highly recommended that students read the lesson(s) missed and/or go the tutorial section on-line while absent in order to stay on track. A student will be given as many days to complete an assignment as the number of days that the student was absent, plus one.  School Board policy dictates this procedure.

Extra Credit:  Extra credit work is not given.  However, students should take advantage of the opportunity to improve test grades through test corrections.  See test corrections policy for more details.

Required Materials:  Students will need their CLMS planner, Math Textbook, sharpened pencils, erasers, math notebook, and their charged Chromebook each day.  All assignments should be completed in pencil.
