I am looking forward to meeting each and everyone of our new fifth grade students, who I hope after a long and fun summer are also looking forward to an exciting year ahead.  I am a highly qualified Teacher of English who has been teaching for Ms. Rockafellow, another E/LA teacher out on maternity leave and who will be returing late October. Not only am I an English teacher who's been teaching in the district for many years, but I am also a tutor and a professional writer and editor. So, there will a lot of opportunities to learn, stretch academically, and grow this fall.

Fifth grade is a big step, as well as a bridge, between the wide-eyed innocence of 4th graders and the beginning middle schoolers' attitude of too cool for school! This is a year where great growth and development take place.  I intend to make the time I am with your children a full and fruitfilled learning experience for them.
