ABOUT THE OAK STREET SCHOOL LIBRARY

er to enroll in the Ber

We have a terrific library at Oak Street!  Our library has about 19,000 books, magazines, audio books, and reference books for our students, faculty  and parents to use and enjoy. It is my goal to provide our staff and students with the most comprehensive and up to date materials possible to meet the requirements of our curriculum across all grades K-6.

Students may visit the library to return books, check out books, browse, read, research, use the computers, or to work on a class project. All Oak Street classes have a fixed library period every 2 weeks on either A  or B week.   Students  also have the flexibility to visit the library during set times and with teacher permission to return and check out new books.  With over 600 students and faculty at Oak Street School our library is typically buzzing with activity.   In addition, we have a dedicated group of parent volunteers to assist with the book checkouts and shelving books each week.

Anyone interested in being a library volunteer please  send me an email at mpiccoline@bernardsboe.com !
