My philosophy of teaching is built around the concept that everyone deserves an opportunity to learn.  It is my opinion that teachers should teach students how to learn and how to love doing so.  Teachers should create a learning environment that always keeps the interest of their students.  Teachers should send out the message to students that the students are the sole purpose of their being here.  Students should be able to enjoy going to school and not being afraid of learning or getting hurt.  Teachers should take under consideration each student when teaching.  If done correctly the teacher would have given his her students the opportunity to gain more educationally.

This teacher believes that teaching is a combination of church, home and school.  They are all learning institutions which feed off one another.  In today’s society more than ever before, students need the assistance of the church, home and school to deal with the many problems they face.

This educator believes that students should play an active role in the educational process.  They should be allowed to make decisions and choices about their education.  This educator has found that students tend to learn as well as respond better when they are actively involved in the learning process. A complete educational system should incorporate students, parents, the educators as well as the community.  Working together is the key to a successful educational experience.
