IT IS A BLESSING TO BE BACK AT MMS FOR ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL YEAR. I HOPE THAT YOU ARE READY TO TACKLE THE CHALLENGES THAT WILL PRESENT THEMSELVES THIS YEAR, BIG OR SMALL. REMEMBER, WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS, AND WE SHALL OVERCOME WHATEVER COMES OUR WAY. KNOW THAT IF YOU CAN BELIEVE IT, YOU CAN ACHIEVE IT!

Student Expectations
- Report to class on time.
- All student cameras on during face-to-face live instruction unless otherwise indicated.
- Respect yourself, classmates, and all MMS staff.
- Profanity, teasing, and personal grooming will not be allowed in the classroom.
- Appropriate dress expected.
- Do your very best and have a positive attitude about learning.
Class Rules
- Have required materials to every class daily, unless told otherwise by the teacher.
- Listen and be courteous when someone is speaking.
- Follow directions.
- Turn assignments in on time.
- Treat everyone respectfully.
- No using the chatbox for unnecessary conversations.
- Cell phone use is absolutely prohibited unless needed to log on to classes (this must be parent verified and teacher approved).
- Keep eating to a minimum (light snack and drinks); if eating a light snack mute mics as not to disturb the class

HOMEWORK, CLASSWORK, AND TEST POLICIES
- Assignments will be given every day (written or non-written), including weekends (unless otherwise indicated). If assignments are missed due to an absence, the student has 3 days to turn in assignments. Assignments not turned in by the designated due date will result in a zero. (see LCCS handbook)
- Tests and quizzes will be made up on the day the student returns or a day that teacher assigns (unless otherwise indicated).
- Weekly review quizzes (based on basic integer facts) will be given every Thursday; these days are designated as “Thrilling Thursdays”. These will be graded as regular quizzes (see grade designations for quiz percentage).

OTHER CONCERNS
Upon entering the virtual live classroom, the following procedures must be followed:
- Enter classroom with MICS MUTED UNTIL TEACHER INDICATES OTHERWISE.
- ALL submitted assignments (including tests and quizzes) are to be labeled with NAME AND DATE
- It is imperative to take notes whenever they are given; note taking is the key to success.
- Do ALL assignments whenever they are given. TAKE REPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR EDUCATION.
- When you are absent, IT WILL BE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK CANVAS for your missed assignments when you return from an absence. Work not returned within the allotted time will result in a ZERO.
- Please ask questions if you are unsure or you don’t understand. Remember, the “dumbest” question is the one that’s never asked.
- RESPECT IS TOP PRIORITY and OBEDIENCE IS ESSENTIAL!
