Further Assignment: Choose one of the books you read (not The Stranger) and write a five-paragraph thematic analysis of the novel. This analysis should be based on your reading of the novel and not use outside sources for support, just textual evidence from the novel. A rubric is attached for your guidelines, as well as directions for writing a literary thematic analysis. Please type the essay and print it out. Bring it to class on your first day. If you do not have a printer, you may email the essay to me, no later than 7am on our first day of class, at [email protected]. The study guide below should be used as a reading guide only and does not need to be completed for The Stranger.
