WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL!
2024 - 2025
This year we are excited to welcome
Ms. Carroll as our new assistant principal!
*******
Welcome to Third Grade and the wonderful world of learning!
This year I will be your child's third grade homeroom teacher.
I am looking forward to working with your child on his/her educational adventure.
I am positive you will be amazed at the things your child will accomplish this year!
CHROMEBOOK INFORMATION
This year students will have to "OPT IN" if they would like to bring their chromebooks home. If chromebooks are going home, please make sure to have a bag to safely get the chromebook back and forth to school. Also, chromebooks must be fully charged each day.
Here is some important technology information.
Students access school websites by visiting the website: bboed.org and clicking on the STUDENT TAB. Most of our websites can be found under Clever.
Login credentials for your student's chromebook are your student's First Name followed by the Last Name, followed by the last two digits of your senior graduation year, and followed by @students.bboed.org

NEW THIS YEAR!
READING
This year English Language Arts will be taught by Ms. Bock.
Although I will not be teaching English Language Arts this year, please make sure you are reading with your child on a daily basis.
(It could be a book, a magazine, a newspaper,...)
Let him/her see you reading everyday.
Share something interesting you read with your child.
Keep a book handy for times you might have to wait.
(doctor's office, long line, car ride,...)
SCIENCE/SOCIAL STUDIES
This year science and social studies will be taught by Ms. Luma.
MATH
This year I will be teaching Math.
All students should have turned in the signed math contract that explains the procedures.
**As of the beginning of this school year, all addition and subtraction facts should have been memorized!**
NEWS! NEWS! NEWS!
As of February, all facts should have been memorized.
Please make sure you are reviewing your facts everynight.
Students need to be fluent!
Being fluent in math is the ability of a student to accurately, quickly, and effortlessly recall the basic math facts across all four operations.
Please use the three snap rule for all facts.
Remember to practice number facts everyday.
You need to use it so that you don't lose it!
HOMEWORK
Since third grade is departmentalized this year, please follow homework directions for each subject.
All homework assignments can be found in your child's assignment pad.
Please check it daily.
As your child's math teacher I am requiring all math homework to be reviewed by a parent/adult and signed each night.
REMEMBER: BE POSITIVE!
Children can pick up their parents' attitude about learning.
If you believe that your child can achieve, he/she will believe too!
Try to encourage a "can do" attitude!
WE ARE THE DEN!
GO BEARS!!
