Dear Parent/Guardians,

Welcome to my Spanish Class!

I am excited about the opportunity to get to know you, and I'm looking forward to a happy and productive school year.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Nitza Delgado, I received my teaching credential from NJCU. I have two master's degrees in Spanish.

The goal of World Language Class is to provide students with a solid foundation in another language and culture in order to make the students active members of a global society.

I realize that teaching children is a privilege, as well as a tremendous responsibility. I will do my best this year to ensure that each student has a motivating and safe learning experience. However, I cannot do this alone because we both need to be partners in this learning process. I need you to encourage your child at home by helping to ensure that they complete their assignments on their e-book "Listos", and on Google Classroom in a timely manner.

If you need to contact me, feel free to send me an email at: [email protected]

Once again, welcome to World Language Class. Let's work together to make this the best year ever!

Estimados padres/tutores,

My favorite Hero from the past: Helen Keller.

Some famous Helen Keller Quotes And Sayings:

“Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.”

“I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; And because I cannot do everything I will not refuse to do the something that I can do.”

“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart.”

“Your success and happiness lies in you. Resolve to keep happy, and your joy and you shall form an invincible host against difficulties.”

Helen Keller's improbable journey from a child unable to communicate due to her multiple disabilities, to her exalted place on the world stage as the famous global citizen she would become, is one of the greatest stories of the 20th century.

For many, Helen's story ends with the image of a young deafblind girl and her teacher Anne Sullivan at a water pump. However, that transforming moment for Helen signified only the beginning of her new life—a life dedicated to tireless advocacy and fearless activism that opened wide the doors of possibility for people with disabilities.

Helen Keller was a luminary who continues to transcend her historical era. Because she was a woman outspoken in her principles, she inspired changes in public attitudes about the capabilities of people with visual impairments. As she pushed for revolutionary changes in the law, people with disabilities were able to transition into mainstream education and employment. Helen Keller inspired future generations of people with disabilities to live life to the fullest.
