Let me tell you a little about myself.
I am from Lower Alloways Creek and have lived there all of my life. I attended LAC School and Salem High School. I went to college at Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, where I majored in elementary education and history. Right after graduation I started working at Mannington School as a teacher's aide.
I spent 3 years as an aide, working in 1st, 2nd, and 4th grades. That was such a great experience and I learned so much from the teachers that I worked with.
I started teaching first grade in 1998. I taught first grade for 8 years. Since then, I've taught 4th grade and 4th and 5th grade Math and Science. This school year, 2022-2023, will be my third year of teaching 3rd and 4th grades, Math and Science.
On a personal note, I am married and have two sons. I love animals and have a cat, a dog, and ducks and chickens. I enjoy spending time with my family. Some of our favorite activities including traveling, boating, and having camp fires. I'm also a HUGE Disney fan.
Teaching is my passion. I love learning new "stuff" that I can bring into the classroom to share with my students. My students teach me so much, too!
