Cassandra Durham is the sixth/seventh grade LAL teacher and LAL Department Chair.  Prior to this year she was the Literacy Coach for Morgan Village now Creative Arts Morgan Village for the last four years.  Six years prior, she taught Language Arts Literacy to grades seventh and eighth.  As a Literacy teacher she; promotes and facilitates Literacy programs, administers district mandated tests, provides necessary direction for testing/materials, gathers and organizes data, disaggregates data for school and district, administers data meetings to review results having differentiated instruction discussions, implements strategies for skill mastery, holds weekly whole/grade level meetings (agenda), offers teacher/student mentoring, provides in class support and instruction, attends district meetings, attends state meetings, implements new programs, supplies department with necessary tools for craft, shares with entire staff Literacy elements (rubrics, writing formats, reading materials), promotes cross curricular activities, provides necessary Professional Development for growth, is a present force for student support and growth, and is very active on the many school committees benefiting staff, students, and the whole school.
