Here are some ideas to help keep your child actively learning.  

 

 

 

Reading: 

 

-read books (ask them questions about what they read)

 

-practice sight words

 

 

 

-creative writing (Ideas: They can write about books they've read.  Students have also written informative paragraphs and personal narratives in class. They can keep a daily journal.)

 

-basic handwriting practice

 

 

 

Math:

 

-Practice basic Math facts

 

-Flashcards

 

-Use the extra webistes on the side tab of the page to help with math also!

Below is INFORMATION while your child is attending school on campus. You Only need the above information while your child is at home.

Important Dates
 
Our class will have 20 spelling words each week. Spelling test are given on Friday.  Your child will also be expected to write a complete sentence with one chosen word each week along with a dictation sentence. 

 
~~Please begin saving Box Tops to help our school!

~~Please remember to send a snack with your child each day.



~~Every Wednesday our class has PE. Your child needs to wear tennis shoes on this day to be able to participate in PE.

~~Every Thursday our class has Library. If you would like your child to purchase a small item such as a pencil, eraser, bookmark, etc., please send money with them on this day.


~~  Your child can also earn golden tickets and be a GOLDen Gator by showing Good Manners, Ownership, Listening, and being Dependable.


 

A few NOTES to remember:

 

~ Initial Student behavior logs each day.

~ Clean out your child's folder each night.

~ Homework packets will be sent home on Monday. 
    They are due on Friday.
~ Graded paper folders will be sent home on Thurday. 
    Please be sure to sign the sheet inside the test folder 
     stating that you have looked over your child's papers.

~ Please be sure to send a snack with your child daily.
